Sports lovers here always look forward to August and September because there is the Inter-School Sports meet that time. Such occasions are very colourful and attractive. Just like previous years, this year also, the meet was enjoyable.

The sports were held the National Stadium. The stadium was cheerfully decorated for the purpose. The rubberised tracks were neatly marked white paint. The sports officials wearing their official badges were busy the whole day. At about 2 pm. that day, athletes marched past their respective school colours. The Minister Sports and Culture took the salute. With the singing the National Anthem and the hoisting the National Flag, he declared the meet open.

There were many exciting events, separately for boys and girls. The 100-, 200- and 400-meter races, the hurdles and relays were interesting track events. The competitors were tense and serious. They were excellent specimens physical fitness, and some new records were set. The girls' events added colour and delight to the spectators. Among the girls' items, the tug-of-war was a never-ending source merriment. Throughout, our school band was attendance.

After the events were over, the Minister Sports and Culture gave away the trophies and certificates to the winners. He complimented the athletes their performance. The Secretary the Inter-School Council thanked the distinguished guests. With the singing the National Anthem, the meet came to a close.

It was that particular day; I shared the atmosphere real joy and excitement. One the most enjoyable days our academic life thus drew to a close.
